Each week you will use a combination of evidence based tools including Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing (EMDR) and other EMDR based protocols, EFT Tapping & Hypnosis to start to re-wire your brain to clear any subconscious blocks that are sabotaging your success.

There are EMDR processes to complete each week where we find the origin of the block and process it and then install your V2.0 new way of being. Then you will continue to use the powerful tapping blueprints/videos for a few minutes each day to keep the re-wiring process going. At night when you go to bed, you will press play on a hypnosis audio before you drift off to sleep to help reprogram in new V2.0 beliefs.

A study conducted on women using the Georgie Beames NBT tools to combat cravings, over a period of 15 days, has shown significant changes in their snacking behaviours. 

One of the most significant findings was that on average, there was a 2 kg weight loss over 15 days. 

The study also showed that at the end of the 15 days, the women felt more clear headed, lively, active, and relaxed. Overall, the women reported a 77% increase in their sense of control over their snacking and cravings.

Women felt more in control and overall more confident.

The combined approach resulted in women feeling 77% more in control of their cravings.

Additionally, a side effect of using these tools was an average weight loss of 2kg over the period of 15 days.

EMDR


Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an extensively researched, powerful psychological treatment that has been used effectively for over thirty years.

Scientific research has established EMDR as effective for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). EMDR has shown to be an effective therapy in the following areas:

Studies have shown that 77-90% of clients with PTSD were able to eliminate their symptoms after 3-7 sessions of EMDR (without homework), and EMDR has comparable results to that of other trauma treatments but over a much shorter time frame.

EMOTION FREEDOM TECHNIQUE (EFT) TAPPING


Tapping is groundbreaking stress management technique combining psychotherapy and acupressure, bringing together elements of exposure, cognitive therapy and somatic stimulation. Commonly known as ‘Tapping’, EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Technique.

By stimulating pressure points on the body with this two finger tapping technique, EFT results in a calming effect on the amygdala (the stress centre of the brain) and the hippocampus (the brain’s memory centre), both of which play a role in the decision making process to determine if something is, or isn’t, a threat.

How EFT Tapping is used to reduce food cravings

Clinical trials have shown that EFT is able to rapidly reduce the emotional impact of memories and incidents that trigger emotional distress.

Research shows that the brain lost interest in participant’s go to foods in the matter of weeks (right hand side scan), and results lasted for two years. Participants only tapped for four weeks, and did not continue tapping. The tapping stopped, but the results stayed. 

Let’s now examine the research comparing the outcomes between dieting and exercising for weight loss vs tapping (with no other intervention).

HYPNOSIS


Hypnosis used in a therapeutic context is very different to what you might see in stage or entertainment hypnosis. Therapeutic hypnosis involves relaxing in order to bypass your conscious brain, allowing ideas and new beliefs to sink deep into your unconscious mind, which is where all of your emotions and your habits and your deeper beliefs sit.

Hypnosis & Weight Management

Research shows that hypnosis for weight management in combination with other approaches to be effective. When you add in hypnosis into other approaches, studies show bigger changes to weight loss.

For this reason, NBT has combined specific hypnosis audios, designed from Georgie who is a certified hypnotherapist, to be used in conjunction with EMDR and EFT.
